Welcome to Simple School Days

Why We Started This

If you're reading this, you're probably in the same place we were not too long ago — sitting at your kitchen table, surrounded by curriculum catalogs, wondering if you're really going to do this.

We get it. Starting to homeschool feels huge.

Here's what we want you to know: You don't have to have it all figured out. We certainly don't. This site exists because we believe in learning out loud, sharing what's working (and what's not), and encouraging other families who are just getting started.

What You'll Find Here

This isn't an expert blog. We're not veteran homeschoolers with twenty years of experience. We're a family in our first few years, figuring it out as we go.

Here's what we'll share:

  • Our daily rhythm — what our actual days look like (not the Instagram version)
  • Honest reviews — what curriculum and resources we're using and why
  • Encouragement — because some days are hard, and you need to hear that's normal
  • Printables and tools — simple things we've made to help us stay organized

A Note About Our Approach

We use a mix of My Father's World and Classical Conversations, and we lean toward Charlotte Mason ideas like nature study and living books. But we're not dogmatic about any method. We use what works for our family and share it in case it helps yours.

Come Along

If you're a first-year homeschool family (or thinking about it), you're in the right place. Grab our free weekly rhythm chart to get started, and know that you're not alone in this.
